ICAI – Melbourne (Australia) Chapter Inc. (the 1st Australian Chapter) registered as a not-for-profit organization in Melbourne, Victoria on 14th November 2006 for the Alumni (i.e. Associate and Fellow members) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The Melbourne Chapter’s main objective is to provide networking and professional development opportunities to its members.

ICAI – Melbourne (Australia) Chapter Inc. of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has been active in promoting the growth and development of the accounting profession in the state of Victoria, Australia since its establishment in 2006. The Chapter has seen significant growth over the past 16 years, with its membership now 200 plus active members. The Chapter’s strong membership base, involvement in local professional events and networking with fellow professionals in the region, as well as the support of the parent organization and the dedication of the Committee Members, have helped to enhance the reputation of Indian Chartered Accountants in the region. 

The Chapter has a strong commitment to supporting the professional development of its members and providing them with opportunities to stay current on developments in the field. To achieve this goal, the chapter regularly organizes seminars, workshops, and other professional development events that cover a range of topics and are led by subject matter experts. These events provide members with the chance to deepen their understanding of important issues and to continue their professional growth. In addition to the educational value of these events, they also serve as an opportunity for members to network and exchange ideas with one another.
