To join the Chapter you should satisfy following conditions:

1. Be a full member of the ICAI Check your Status with ICAI
2. Your current fees should have been paid directly to the ICAI
3. Submit completed Chapter membership form along with documents requested in the Membership Form. MelbourneICAI-Membership-Form
4. Pay prescribed Chapter fees

Alumnus of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India who hold a valid membership with the parent body and have valid Australian work rights visa or Australian citizenship and reside in the state of Victoria are eligible to become members of the Melbourne Chapter. Interested individuals can apply for membership online through the Chapter’s website. The online application is reviewed by the Leader of Membership, and upon satisfactory verification, the applicant is instructed to pay the required membership fee. Upon successful payment, the applicant is admitted as a member of the Chapter. A person is considered a member from the date their name is entered into the register, unless the Membership Committee or the Executive Committee decides not to grant membership due to non-compliance with requirements, not being member of ICAI in good standing, or involvement in professional misconduct, as determined by information available to the ICAI or the Chapter.
